Everyone has enjoyed celebrating his/her birthday, especially the young ones. We are excited to see what presents we received from our loved ones and friends.
Here, at Yumekirara we always prepare a special cake for birthday celebrators, and a happy-birthday-message with pictures of them and their friends.
The other day a student was celebrating her birthday. When I picked her up in their school, she was excited about it and kept on asking about her birthday cake. She even requested that we put more sprinkles on her cake! I told her, “Let’s find out during snack time!”
I heard another kid was given a chance to choose where he wanted to celebrate his birthday, and he chose Yumekirara! I can feel our kids’ excitement when they celebrate their birthdays with their friends.
To make their day extra special, I have decided to give them “something” to remember. Since last year, I have given each of our kids a special origami I made during our free time. On their birthday, they can choose which origami they like. They’re happy to get color combinations of their preference.
Last year, I handed out くすだま or a medicine ball. I only use twelve assorted colors of origami paper to make this.
This year, I made it even more special! I learned that I could make this くすだま in a shape of a diamond! I chose different colors so it looks great!
