After five years, my family and I were able to go back to Philippines! I saw a lot of changes in my hometown. There were a lot more tall buildings and the streets have become much busier than before.

It’s my son’s first time meeting his relatives and playing with his cousins. At first, he didn’t want to be away from me but from the following week, he started playing with them, and on our last week, he was already asking them to carry him and giving them a kiss on the cheeks!

We missed some Filipino food and so the whole stay, we dined to Filipino cuisines or I cooked the food we craved for so long.

Of course we had a lot of swimming! We were able to enjoy both the beach and the heated pools mostly by ourselves as if we rented the whole place because September is not a peak season for swimming in the Philippines. My son especially enjoyed playing at the beach.
