Once a year, we are doing an activity about my home country – the Philippines.
This year, the kids learned factual information about my country’s school system, its population – 117 million, capital city – Manila, and languages spoken – Filipino and English.
Yumekirara kids also listened to the Philippine ABC song. We have 28 letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, Ñ, Ng, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. For the crafts, they made paper dolls of the Philippine national clothes. While making it, they listened to the ABC song. During their free time, I heard some kids sang it. It was great to see them engaged in our activity.
I chose four best paper dolls – one from each grade level. They got a flower ball of their choice as reward.
