On August 4th, my family and I went to Futaaraya Shrine to witness the summer festival. We arrived around 5pm and as expected, it was really crowded with people from all ages. My two-year-old son didn’t like to walk by himself unlike his usual activeness when we’re out. It’s probably because he was overwhelmed by the crowded people and just wanted to be carried.
My favorite part of this festival, was eating various street foods. It was indeed a cheat-day of packing my stomach with delicious food. Even my son enjoyed the skewered fried potato!
We watched the parade of people dancing and rejoicing with the loud beat of the drums. I was amazed of how they could balance while dancing on top of the matsuri float that was carried by people.
We walked along the big street until we were close to the station. We finished this celebration with smile on our faces and of course, filled bellies!
